Thank You For Your Support!

Dear patrons,

We at Standout Events would like to thank you for supporting us with your attendance at our first major event. From Zucchero's fantastic performance to your warm reception and enthusiasm throughout the night, we are encouraged that this will be the first of many more events with some of the world's top artists.
Vip Platinum Packages

As with all firsts, there were some teething problems on the night, which we intend on making right, namely regarding issues which have arrisen with the VIP platinum packages. Standout Events would like to apologize for issues which had arrisen with the Platinum VIP Packs. Due to circumstances with the postal system, which were beyond our control, the VIP Packages did not arrive in Malta in time for the concert. Standout Events Director, Antonella Vassallo would personally like to apologise for this setback, which she hopes will be remedied in the next few days.

For those of you who purchased a VIP Platinum ticket fear not, as we should be receiving these packages in the next few days. Once we have these packages in hand we will be contacting all those who have purchased VIP Tickets to come and collect your VIP pack from our offices in Lija.

Once again thank you for your support, and we look forward to entertaining you once again in the near future. Should you have any queries or would like to send us your feedback on the event, you may do so by emailling info@standoutevents.com.mt.

Best Regards,

Zucchero Live in Concert in Malta!

Italian singing superstar Zucchero has included Malta in his 'Chocabeck' World Tour 2011, with a concert at the MFCC Open Grounds on Saturday, 30 July, at 9 p.m.

Inspired by the album with the eponymous title, released late last year, which has already gone multi-platinum, Zucchero will be singing tracks on the album, apart from many of his greatest hits.

Antonella Vassallo, Director of Stand Out Events, the organiser of the concert, said preparations have been in hand for the past two months. She has put together a formidable team of consultants, including Amabile Zammit, who has been involved in the staging of concerts in Malta and abroad, and Reuben Caruana for logistics.

Among the many concerts Mr Zammit has organised were those of Joseph Calleja, Riccardo Muti and Andrea Bocelli, apart from the Jo Squillo fashion show. Last week Ms Vassallo and Mr Zammit went to watch Zucchero's concert in Dusseldorf and next week she has been invited to watch his concert at the Arena di Verona.

"This will be a top class performance, with Zucchero accompanied by an 11-piece band," Ms Vassallo said. "There are also two supporting bands, who will start performing at 8 p.m. These are bands have not been supporting acts in the past and their identity will be revealed closer to the event."

Zucchero (full name Adelmo Fornaciari) has written over 300 songs and released 15 studio albums, apart from working with many world-famous artists. His music is largely inspired by blues and rock, and he has been delighting his fans for more than three decades.

The world tour started last month in Switzerland and he has since played in venues in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, the UK and Austria. This month he has concerts at the Arena di Verona, Italy, and venues in Austria, Switzerland and Croatia. Next month and in early August he will be performing at venues in Italy, apart from his Malta concert.

Some of the latest press reports on the Zucchero tour can be found on his website www.zucchero.it. The start of the tour with a sell-out concert in Zurich with 12,000 people was reported in the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno .

A more detailed report is carried in Brescia.it www.zucchero.it/press/zucchero-in-tour-con-chocabeck/ and there was extensive coverage in La Repubblica and La Stampa . There is also an article on the Chocabeck album, printed last year in the Corriere della Sera . Signor Domenico Marino, Zucchero's Italian promoter for Malta is doing his very best to help Antonella Vassallo and Amabile Zammit to have a successful concert as in other countries.

Ms. Vassallo thanked the sponsors: MSV Life, the MTA, GO, The Palace, Cisk Export, Pepsi, Sign-It, Martini, Bacardi and GattaVecchi.Perfumery at BayStreet, the Plaza and in Paola, FarsonsDirect and at The Store in Mriehel.

All tickets are also on sale on-line on www.ticketline.com.mt.
